In the heart of Arlington’s Entertainment District lies Richard Greene Linear Park. Nestled between Globe Life Park and AT&T Stadium, Arlington’s Sculpture Trail provides a unique combination of art, nature and architecture.

River Legacy Parks are home to 10 miles of trails that are favorites of local runners and mountain bikers. The parks feature exercise stations, hard-and-soft-surface nature trails, a nature-themed playground, pavilions and the Trinity River Paddling Trail.

Crystal Canyon Natural Area is a geology lover’s paradise in the heart of North Arlington. It contains a diverse geologic profile with marine shales, siltstones and mudstone along with inner beds of calcareous fossil clams, gypsum layers and more.

If you’re traveling with a pet, be sure to check out the city’s newest dog park, located near Rush Creek Linear Park on West Pioneer Parkway, west of downtown. The seven-acre Rush Creek Dog Park boasts plenty of amenities, including pet-friendly water fountains, dog wash stations and shaded seating for humans. Four fenced-in areas allow for off-leash play and plenty of meet-and-greet opportunities. You’ll also find nearby 2.5 miles of dog-friendly hiking and biking trails.

Wondering where you can play disc golf in Arlington? Veterans Park attracts players from all over the country. Veterans Park also boasts a 1.4-mile walking trail, a fishing pond and a beautiful wildscape garden that’s home to native Texas plants.

Skateboarding continues to grow as a popular activity in Arlington and there are several parks to choose from. Vandergriff Park’s skate park is a located in central Arlington just north of Interstate 20, it’s transitional plaza skating terrain is designed for all ages and skill levels.
